4age 20v – Cooling – Rear bypass plate

Normally supplied as part of our rear wheel drive cooling kit- this part fits on the back of the cylinder head. Offered here individually for those who wish to assemble their own combination of matching cooling system conversion parts.

 

PARTS SUPPLIED: The main Aluminium housing, an O-ring seal, a fastener set and the relevant choice of water fittings.

 

THIS PART IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THE ORIGINAL COOLING SYSTEM SETUP / LAYOUT. See below under “Part compatibility” for further details.

 

 

Features

– Light and strong: Designed to have material where it’s needed and nowhere else.

– Low profile: Thick enough to get a deep socket over the sensors and a deep cooling channel but with only a total maximum width of 27mm.

– Quality: Full CNC machined construction for maximum accuracy and surface finish.

– O-ring seal: Easy to remove, re-usable and an unbeatable sealing ability.

– Universal outlet provision: See parts options in further down for more details.

– Sensor provision: Includes twin fine-threaded holes to suit the original Toyota temperature sensors- M12 for the 2-wire ECU and M16 for the dash / fascia read-out.

 

Part compatibility

– This part can’t be used as a direct replacement for the OEM factory fitted rear housing without any other changes. It can only be used in conjunction with the other compatible rear wheel drive cooling conversion parts. For those not looking to alter or custom assemble their own cooling kit then our complete conversion kit is instead suggested.

– Can be used as a direct replacement of the rear housing as used on the now discontinued SP-Tec 20V 4age RWD conversion kit. Not only is our replacement a much lower profile but it also gives additional versatility with the rear water routing.

 

Parts options

– Heater outlet provision: 1 x plug and 1 x 16mm barb will be supplied, can be fitted to face in either direction.

– No heater use: x2 plugs will be supplied pre-fitted into housing to block both water ports.

– Custom options: different heater outlet sizes or a something such as a combination of a heater outlet on one side and a turbo water feed on the other. Contact us with your request- many different size barbs available.

– ECU temperature sensor (Top left): M12 x 1.5mm  (SENSOR NOT SUPPLIED)
– Dash / Fascia temperature sensor (Top right): M16 x 1.5mm  (SENSOR NOT SUPPLIED)
– Water fitting / Blanking provision (Both sizes): 3/8″ BSPT  –  (BSPP / BSP type fittings with parallel threads are not compatible)
