Connector kit – high tab type – Set of 4

This plug kit suits Denso injectors with the tab keys located off center and towards the clip – AKA: “High-Tab” / “Top-Slot”. These are used across multiple engine types.

 

Supplied

Each kit is supplied with the components only and requires it to be crimped to the terminals and assembled.

The product is supplied with at the minimum enough to assemble a SET OF 4 plugs but includes extras for spares, there is usually enough supplied to make x5 plug complete kits.

Compatibility

These connector kits are known to be compatible engines types listed below. For other engines the compatibility can be visually confirmed by comparing both the shape and the location of the small side locating tabs between the pictured connector housing and the injector receptacle end.

– Toyota 4age 20V

– Toyota 3sge Beams

– 1JZ – Compatibility confirmed only for the models with the yellow ends

– Some models of 2JZGE / 2JZGTE – Compatibility confirmed only for the models with the grey ends, those with violet ends ARE NOT compatible.

– Various other models

– WILL NOT suit 4age 16V injectors with the rectangular receptacles that use steel wire retainer clips, for the type with the oval end receptacles and for the Gen-3 3SGTE (Side-feed) models then see additional note below.

 

Additional Notes

– Colour: The colour of the housing may vary from one of the following colours: grey, white, yellow or black.

– Housing type: The external shape / style of the supplied housings may vary between the type as shown in the product picture and a different type, both are functionally identical.

– Modification for additional compatibility: These will not normally suit the injectors from the Gen-3 3SGTE (Side-feed) nor the 16V 4age engines with the round end receptacles (believed to be the later models) – however the only incompatibility from these injectors / plug housings are the location of the locating tabs located on each side of the injector ends. If the ends of the injectors feature the same oval shape but have the two locating tabs located away from the locking tab (AKA:”low-tab”) instead of  closer to the locking tab (AKA:”high-tab”) such as these plug housings then it is possible to make a simple modification to make them compatible- this can be performed by carefully using a sharp trim knife the cut locator tabs off the sides of the injector end receptacle.
